As Virginia Woolf by leiaskywalker83 As Virginia Woolf by leiaskywalker83
from one of my most favourite movies, The Hours.
Virginia Woolf as played by Nicole Kidman.

Another style I'm experimenting on. I decided to "fade" the sides so as to focus more on the expression.

Charcoal on drawing paper.

I don't know the movie but this looks just awesome. The eyes are so real - I'm just waiting for her to blink.
I also love the hair and the details in her clothing.

Just awesome.

Amazing... I love the detailing you're able to achieve with CHARcoal... **shakes head in awe** She looks so tired...almost defeated, here... It's a powerful expression, and you've captured it beautifully. Awesome work!

Oooh, I saw that movie in English class a couple weeks ago. Very trippy, but in a good way. My favorite part was how they doled up Kidman-- the only way I could recognize her as an actress was by her eyes and the way she sobbed (it was reminiscent of Moulin Rouge). Excellent capture of her portrayal of Virginia.
